What happens during migration?

• All Data will transfer from current booking engine to new online gift voucher system. 
• Every 15 minutes the two systems will sync to account for new voucher purchases . 
• Generated vouchers (eg competitions) will be synced however manual redemption of these is not synced after first migration. (First migration is when you start migration for first time, not sync after each 15 mins,  so in this specific sentence we will not sync manual redemptions of generated vouchers)
• Vouchers that were purchased on group, and used to make booking on group page as well, will be created as hotel voucher during the migration process. 

 

Some Incompatabilities / Differences between 2 Voucher Systems: 

1. Ability to have non commissionable & Commissionable vouchers - all vouchers are commissionable. 
2. Option to Specify click and collect time and date for vouchers is not available in new system. 
3. In new system those purchasing vouchers can choose to have it sent by post / email but not both. 
4. Notification emails set per voucher etc. is not possible in new system. 
5. No available terms and cookie policy will not come across so will need to be updated manually in new system. 
6. The option to not allow online voucher redemption with discount on vouchers is not available in the new system. 

 

Please note: To improve speed of migrations and to use voucher orders for specific bookings we are syncing voucher and bookings in ‘chunks’ which will cause order ids to be out of order, once client starts using eco the order for new order ids for vouchers and bookings will be correct
