Hotel technology specialists Net Affinity and Smarthotel have been shortlisted at the Boutique Hotelier Awards 2026, recognising the commercial and operational impact of their connected technology solutions for hotels.
The business has been named as finalists in the Best Tech Product – Under 100 Employees category.
The nomination recognises the businesses’ connected approach to hotel technology, combining Net Affinity’s booking engine, website design and performance marketing expertise with Smarthotel’s capabilities across distribution, PMS connectivity and payments.
Together, the businesses help independent hotels, resorts and hotel groups increase direct revenue, simplify operations and create a smoother guest journey from search and booking through to payment and check-out.
Over the past year, Net Affinity and Smarthotel have entered a new phase of growth under the leadership of CEO Lauri Koop. The business has strengthened its position across Ireland, the UK and Europe, while continuing to invest in scalable technology and hospitality-specific client support.
The impact of this connected approach can be seen at Buitenplaats de Bergse Bossen, a 70-bedroom hotel in the Netherlands. Previously, the hotel managed reservations, group bookings and payments through separate systems, creating additional administrative work and increasing the risk of errors.
By connecting its reservation environment with Smart Payments, the hotel has significantly reduced manual processing. The team estimates that it now saves more than 600 hours every year, giving employees more time to focus on guests and service.
Nottingham Venues has also achieved significant results through its partnership with Net Affinity and Smarthotel.
The hospitality business, which operates multiple hotels, conference facilities and more than 4,000 seasonal campus bedrooms, required a booking journey capable of supporting a particularly complex operation.
Following the introduction of a clearer website and booking journey, Channel Manager technology, Business Intelligence reporting and more streamlined payment processes, Nottingham Venues doubled its direct bookings compared with the previous year. The new setup has also made large and complex bookings easier to manage online, while giving the team greater visibility of booking behaviour, lead times, package performance, device usage and origin markets.
Lauri Koop, CEO of Net Affinity, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted at the Boutique Hotelier Awards. This recognition reflects the hard work of our teams and the impact our technology is having for hotel partners.
“Hotels need more than individual products. They need connected technology that supports their commercial goals, reduces operational complexity and improves the experience for both guests and employees.”
