This week, our Managing Director at Net Affinity, William Cotter, spoke about the future effects of GDPR on marketing, at the IHF GDPR seminar on 5 September 2017, in Dublin.
The IHF members event, hosted other speakers including; Mark Adair and Emily Mahoney, from law firm Mason Hayes & Curran, and John Ryan, CEO, Zinopy who gave important information on the new legislation, and their interesting insights from their respective sectors.
The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will result in additional data compliance requirements for hotels and guesthouses. The topic is extremely important right now as it affects all hotels who hold data on their customers, for any purpose.
Compliance will take time to organise, so it’s vital for hotels to start planning and implementing changes in order to be ready for May 2018, when the GDPR comes into force.
