We finally have a date for hotel re-openings on the 20th July, in phase 4 of the government's plan to lift Covid-19 restrictions.
Hotels will be allowed open initially on a limited occupancy basis (or number of people per square metre), and then restrictions will continue to ease over time.
Already, we've seen an uplift in our future booking stats - momentum will continue to rise, so now it's about how to plan for this. Yesterday, we held a webinar around how you can make your hotel appeal to the domestic market and take advantage of this business, which is now booking - you can watch it back here.
We also sat down with our Sales Director, Sharon Cowley, last week to discuss some things the hotel industry will need to take into consideration on the run up to opening their collective doors.
